Vol. 158 No. 9

Questions— Oral Answers. - Achill Perch.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the Office of Public Works has carried out an inspection with a view to erecting a new perch at Bullsmouth, Achill, and when the work will be undertaken.

It is proposed to offer a grant to the Mayo County Council towards the erection of the perch or guide mark on Carrigeenfushta Rock, Bullsmouth, Achill, County Mayo, subject to the usual conditions attaching to such grants, that is: The making of a contribution by the county council of 25 per cent. of the cost, and the acceptance by the council of the responsibility for the future maintenance of the structure.

A formal offer accordingly will issue in the course of the next few days.
