Vol. 158 No. 9

Questions— Oral Answers. - Cork Hospitals' Nursing Staffs.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state the cause of the delay in appointing male nurses in St. Finbarr's Hospital and in the Orthopaedic Hospital, Cork.

The employment of male nurses in the Orthopaedic Hospital, Gurranebraher, and in St. Finbarr's Hospital was sanctioned in December and March last, respectively.

The proposals of the board of assistance regarding the duties to be assigned to the persons appointed were submitted for my approval on the 6th of this month. These proposals have been approved and it is open to the board to make the appointments.
