Vol. 159 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allocation of Fishing Boats.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the fishing ports (a) to which 15 boats were made available by his Department last year, and (b) to which boats are to be made available in the coming year.

My Department does not supply fishing boats, that service being provided by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the fishing ports (a) to which 15 boats were made available by the board in the year ended 31st March, 1956, and (b) to which boats have, I understand from the board, been provisionally allocated for the year ending 31st March, 1957.

Following is the statement:—

Would the Minister state whether any boats were allocated to ports in my constituency last year, or is it intended to allocate any boats to ports in my constituency this year?

That is a separate question.
