Vol. 159 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - River Suir Drainage.

asked the Minister for Finance whether, with a view to carrying out minor schemes, such as the clearance of obstructions, etc., on the River Suir, he proposes to introduce legislation to amend the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945.

Legislation of the nature referred to is not in contemplation.

asked the Minister for Finance whether, with a view to carrying out a drainage scheme, arrangements have been made for a survey of the River Suir.

It is not yet possible to say when a survey of the River Suir catchment, for the purposes of a scheme under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, can be put in hands.
