Vol. 160 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Bulls.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the number of Aberdeen Angus bulls supplied to applicants in West Galway in 1955-56, and the number which it is expected will be supplied in 1956-57.

Presumably the question relates to my Department's scheme for the location of bulls on special terms in congested areas.

The number of Aberdeen Angus bulls supplied under this scheme to applicants in West Galway in the 1955-56 season was 10. The number likely to be supplied in 1956-57 will depend on the general supply position, but it is expected that it will be approximately the same as in 1955-56.
