asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) the total physical stock of tea held by Tea Importers, Limited, and already in the country, (b) the quantities of tea accounted as stock but which have not yet been delivered at Irish ports, and (c) the location of such undelivered stocks.

The total stocks of tea held by Tea Importers, Limited, on the 20th November, 1956, viz., 13,000,000 lb., comprised 5,700,000 lb. in this country, 3,800,000 lb. in transit to Ireland and 3,500,000 lb. awaiting shipment from India and Ceylon.
