andÓ Briain asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of County Limerick the total number and the titles of holdings (a) which have been acquired by the Land Commission for distribution, (b) for which schemes of allotment have been prepared and submitted to the Commission, (c) for which schemes of allotment are in course of preparation, (d) for the acquisition of which negotiations are in progress, and (e) offered by way of exchange.

It is impracticable to give information in the precise form requested, but as far as possible the relevant information is set out in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be published in the Official Report.
As regards the information sought at (e), applications for exchanges are made in confidence and particulars of them may not be divulged.
Apart from applications made direct to the local Inspector, 36 applications for exchanges have been made since 1954.
