Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - American Loan Counterpart Fund: Borrowings.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the total amount borrowed from the American Loan Counterpart Fund as ways and means advances within the period 13th June, 1951, to 4th August, 1951, inclusive; and in respect of the same period, the total amount paid out of the Exchequer in respect of capital supply services issues under (a) the Electricity Supply Acts, (b) the Local Loans Fund Acts, (c) the Turf Development Acts, (d) the Telephone Capital Acts, (e) the National Stud Act and (f) the Transport Act, and issues for the redemption of debt; further, if he will state the balances in the Exchequer at 16th June, 1951, and at 4th August, 1951, respectively.

The information requested by the Deputy as to the total amount paid out of the Exchequer in respect of Voted Capital Services in the period 13 June, 1951, to 4 August, 1951, is not available as only quarterly returns of payments are made by the various Departments concerned.

The other information requested is in the form of a tabular statement, which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to have circulated with the Official Report.
