To base 1953=100, the index number of the volume of production of manufacturing industries was 107.1 in the June quarter and 107.7 in the September quarter of 1955. In the June quarter of 1956 it was 101.5 and in the September quarter of this year it was 98.2.
The figures now given for 1955 and for the June quarter 1956 have been revised as compared with those already published.
