Vol. 161 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Notification of Need for Hospital Projects.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state the dates on which the need for the hospital, nurses' home, sanatorium and other projects which were commenced or for which final approval was given and moneys allocated in the years 1948-51, was first brought to his notice by the local authorities and voluntary organisations and their medical advisers.

Ascertainment of this information would necessitate a detailed and exhaustive examination of departmental files and records concerning a very large number of such projects covering a long period of years. I do not consider that expenditure of the time and labour involved in such detailed and exhaustive examination would be justified.
