Vol. 161 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tipperary National Schools.

asked the Minister for Education when sanction is likely to be given for the building of the proposed national school at Littleton, Thurles, County Tipperary.

A grant has been sanctioned by my Department towards the cost of the erection of a new school at Littleton, Thurles, and the necessary preliminary arrangements for the building of the new school are at present receiving the attention of the Commissioners of Public Works.

Mrs. Ryan

andMr. Fanning asked the Minister for Education what is the position with regard to the building of the proposed national school at Kilruane, Nenagh, County Tipperary.

The Reverend Manager has offered a suitable site for the erection of a new school at Kilruane, Nenagh, and the Commissioners of Public Works have prepared sketch plans for the new building.

My Department is in communication with the Reverend Manager in regard to certain preliminary arrangements which require to be completed before a grant towards the cost of the new school can be sanctioned. Every effort will be made to have these arrangements completed as speedily as possible.
