asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the total amount payable and paid in interest and sinking funds in each of the financial years 1952-53 to 1956-57.

It is presumed that the Deputy has in mind interest and sinking fund charges on direct State borrowing. On that basis the information requested by him is as follows:—
