Vol. 162 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Cottages.

asked the Minister for Local Government if his Department received an application from the Kerry County Council for permission to erect a further 100 single rural cottages by direct labour, and, if so, if he will state the cause of the delay in giving the necessary sanction.

The Kerry County Council have requested sanction to the erection of a further 100 rural cottages by direct labour.

Arrangements have now been made under which I will be in a position to release works which are ready to proceed. If the Kerry County Council scheme is in this position, sanction in principle to the provision of these cottages will issue in the course of the next few days.
