Vol. 162 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Conyngham Road-Island Bridge Traffic Duty.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will make arrangements for a member of the Garda to be put on traffic duty at the junction of Conyngham Road and Island Bridge on Sundays between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. owing to the heavy motor traffic which makes it difficult for persons, and particularly for children, leaving the Phoenix Park to cross the roadway at this junction.

Arrangements have been made to have a Garda on point duty at the junction in question from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on each Sunday commencing June 2nd. Similar arrangements were in force last year when the volume of traffic so required.
