Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Petrol and Oil for State Cars.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state (1) (a) the total quantity of petrol consumed, and (b) the average consumption per mile, of the State cars used by each Minister and Parlimentary Secretary from the date of his appointment to the 31st May, 1957, (2) the total estimated annual expenditure on petrol and oil for such vehicles, and (3) the anticipated increase in such expenditure as a result of the Budget.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated in the Official Report.

The following is the statement:—

(b) Average Miles per gallon of cars used by Minister and Parliamentary Secretaries from date of their appointment to 31/5/57:—
