Vol. 162 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rural Electrification in West Galway.

asked the Minister for Indistry and Commerce if he will state the result of the canvass for rural elecrification in the townlands of Commanaugh, Cloughbrock, Clonbour, and whether the E.S.B. intend to commerce operations there, and, if so, when.

I am informed by the E.S.B. that these townlands form an outlying part of the Leenane are in which development under the rural electrification scheme is at present in progress. The residents of the townlands have been canvassed and, out of 13, take supply. The board states that the terms on which supply can be made available will be notified to these householders, and that they will be given an opportunity of taking supply before constructions work is completed in the area about next August.
