Vol. 163 No. 6

Supplementary Estimates, 1957-58. - Personal Explanation by Member.

The Chair understands that Deputy MacEoin wishes to make a statement.

I wish to correct an error that I was guilty of yesterday, or at least that I am reported as being guilty of, in that I attributed to the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs a statement which was made by the Minister for Lands. It is because he was the previous Minister for Posts and Telegraphs that I mentioned him inadvertently, but I corrected it in the Official Report immediately afterwards. However, I see it in the newspapers to-day, and I want to correct the impression that it was the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs to whom I was referring while actually it was the Minister for Lands.
