Substantial quantities of timber thinnings are now being utilised in the manufacture of mechanical wood pulp and hard board. Another proposal for the use of timber thinnings in an allied field is under consideration.
The question of the most efficient utilisation of the increasing supplies of thinnings is being examined in consultation with the industrial interests concerned.
