asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of each county council area the total amount expended on roads during each of the years 1954-55, 1955-56, and 1956-57, and the estimated expenditure for 1957-58.

It is estimated that the figures for 1957-58 will be approximately the same as for 1956-57. Following are the particulars in respect of the years 1954-55, 1955-56 and 1956-57:—
