Vol. 164 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Improvement of Curragh Lands.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state what progress has been made by the committee set up to devise ways and means to improve the lands of the Curragh by the removal of the gorse and the application of fertilisers.

I am informed that the committee has made considerable progress with, but has not yet completed, its detailed investigation of the various aspects of this matter which presents difficult problems.

Has the committee given any indication when they expect to be able to conclude their examination?

I do not think so.

Perhaps the Minister might ask them?

Very well.
