Vol. 164 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Belmullet Courthouse.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware of the poor condition of the courthouse in Belmullet, County Mayo; and, if there are plans on hand for the reconstruction of the courthouse, if he will announce them without delay.

I am aware that the courthouse accommodation in Belmullet leaves much to be desired and that the cunty registrar has made appropriate representations, from time to time, to the county council whose duty it is to provide the requisite accommodation. In view of this, I propose to take the matter up with the county council myself. There are, so far as I know, no plans on hand for the reconstruction of the courthouse.
