Certain powers are already available to local authorities in the Advertisements Regulation Act, 1907, and the Town and Regional Planning Acts, 1934 and 1939, for the purpose of controlling advertisements. It has been represented to me, however, that these powers are too limited and need to be strengthened. This aspect of the matter is being considered.
