Vol. 164 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meat Exports.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the quantity and the value of (a) carcase meat, and (b) tinned and open pack meat exported to date in 1957.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing, by reference to the commodity descriptions in the official export list, the quantity and value of domestic exports of meat and meat preparations in the first nine months of 1957. These descriptions afford the fullest statistical information available on types of packing used.

Following is the statement:—
