Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cross-Channel Shipping Companies.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the names of companies engaged in cross-Channel shipping services between this country and Britain, and the addresses of the registered offices of the companies.

The names of the companies engaged in regular cross-Channel shipping services are: British Transport Commission, British and Irish Steam Packet Co., Ltd., City of Cork Steampacket Co., Ltd., Burns and Laird Lines, Ltd., Clyde Shipping Co., Ltd., Limerick Steamship Co., Ltd., Wexford Steamship Co., Ltd., Bristol Steam Navigation Co., Ltd. The registered addresses of the Irish companies may be obtained from the Companies Registration Office, Dublin. I have no information about the registered addresses of the other companies.
