Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - British Securities held by Government Departments.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will give particulars of the total amount of British securities held on the 31st March, 1954, 1955, and 1956 by each of the following Government Departments or agencies; (a) Post Office Savings Bank, (b) Social Insurance Fund, (c) other accounts, (d) Supreme Court and High Court of Justice, (e) Circuit Court, (f) Land Commission, (g) Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests, (h) public trustee, and (i) Department of Education; and, further, if he will state the nominal and market values of these securities held on 31st March, 1954, and 31st March, 1956.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated in the Official Report.
