Vol. 165 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Commission on Income Taxation.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the Commission on Income Taxation have indicated to him when they will be able to submit a report to him.

The commission have not indicated to me as yet when they will be able to submit a report. I am confident, however, that the commission is making every effort to report as quickly as possible.

Would the Minister inquire from the commission whether they propose to issue an interim report or whether they will wait and make one final report?

I conveyed this to them after the last discussion. I told them that if they wished to submit an interim report it would be welcomed. I got no reply.

They did not even answer you?

I am sure they did.

But you did not read it.
