Vol. 165 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Lusk Remount Farm.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state (a) whether the Remount farm at Lusk has been acquired by the Land Commission for subdivision amongst suitable applicants, (b) the acreage of the holding and (c) whether it will be subdivided amongst applicants residing in the parish of Lusk in view of the fact that the land concerned was originally used as a commons by them before the British Government took possession of it for use as a prison and as a farm.

The Land Commission secured possession of this estate containing 168 acres in December last. It is still too early to say when division of the lands will take place but the claims of all applicants for allotments will be fully considered.
