Vol. 166 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cleggan (Clifden) Lock Gates.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the date on which he received a recommendation from the Galway County Council to have the lock gates at Cleggan, Clifden, County Galway, restored, and the date on which he transferred the recommendation to the Department of Agriculture.

The dates are the 1st December, 1955, and the 2nd January, 1956, respectively. The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked by the Fisheries Branch to furnish engineering advice on the proposal and it is hoped that the necessary inspection can be made during the coming season.
