Vol. 166 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Measurements for Postmen's Uniforms.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether tailors are refusing to measure postmen for uniforms on the grounds that they are allowed only threepence for measuring and that their bills must be furnished in duplicate; and whether this fee will be increased and, if so, when.

I have no evidence that the position is as stated by the Deputy.

Will the Minister make inquiries?

If I am furnished with evidence that tailors are refusing to measure postmen for uniforms for the reasons stated I shall have it examined.

I shall write to the Minister right away.
