Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyfermot Upper Sub-Postmaster.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state in respect of the sub-post office at Ballyfermot Upper (a) the name and address of the sub-postmaster and the date of his appointment, (b) whether the position was advertised and, if so, on what date, (c) the method which was employed to select the sub-postmaster, (d) the name and address of the rated occupier and legal owner of the premises in which the sub-post office is located and (e) the gross average monthly value of salary and emoluments received by the sub-postmaster since his appointment.

The sub-post office at Upper Ballyfermot is at present staffed by my Department pending the appointment of a sub-postmaster. The vacancy for a sub-postmaster was advertised from 29th December, 1957, to 15th January, 1958, and an appointment will be made shortly.
