Vol. 166 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division and Letting of Laoighis Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands when the lands known as the Rock Farm on the Duggan estate, Mountmellick, will be divided; and whether, pending the operation of a scheme for division, the Land Commission will ensure that the lands will not be let for a longer period than one year.

The Land Commission have not yet obtained possession of this estate. Until possession is taken the question of letting the lands does not arise.

Will the Land Commission not ensure that letting for a period greater than a year will not take place?

The Land Commission, as far as I understand, are making every effort to avoid the difficulties suggested by the Deputy.
