Vol. 167 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wages of Employees of State Farms.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether or not it is intended to grant an increase in wages to employees of State farms.

Employees at the farms under the control of my Department are paid a differential over the minimum rate of wages prescribed by the Agricultural Wages Board for the particular district or where a higher rate than the minimum is generally paid locally, a differential over that rate is paid by my Department. I propose to maintain that arrangement.
