Written Answers. - Road Workers' Wages.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state separately in respect of each administrative council as regards road workers' wages (a) the rates paid in January, 1957 and 1958 and on 1st April, 1958, respectively, and (b) the estimated rate required as at mid-February, 1958, to equal the purchasing power of the January, 1957 rate.

The rates of wages of county council road workers in January, 1957, January, 1958, and at 1st April, 1958, are set out in the following statement. The information requested at (b) is not available in my Department.
