Vol. 168 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Prison Officials' Pensions.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether World War I army pensioners who have given over 30 years' service in the Irish prison service have their army pensions added to their means when applying for an old age pension; and whether, as many of this class are in straitened circumstances, he will consider altering this situation, if necessary by introducing legislation.

The position is as stated in the first part of the question. It is not proposed to introduce legislation to alter it.
