Vol. 168 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Petrol and Oil Prices: Saving by Transport Companies.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the total saving to the G.N.R. board and C.I.E. as a result of the recent reductions in the prices of petrol and oil; and whether there will be a consequent reduction in fares.

The question relates to matters which, under statute, are the concern of these undertakings and in relation to which I have no functions. I understand, however, that the recent reduction in the wholesale prices of petrol and oil has no significant effect on operating costs.
