The scheme of conciliation and arbitration for the Civil Service enables Civil Service grades to make claims and proposals for improvements in conditions of service. A claim for increased annual leave allowances for night telephonists and a number of other Post Office grades has been lodged with the Departmental Conciliation Council and, I understand, discussions on it will commence shortly.
