Vol. 168 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Manufacture of Synthetic Cream.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the quantities of ingredients imported in recent months for the manufacture of synthetic cream at present being distributed amongst caterers; and if he will take steps to stop such imports in view of the surplus of milk and cream reaching Dublin City and other places at present and the difficulty in exporting surplus butter stocks.

The information sought in the first part of the question is not available. The ingredients are also used in the manufacture of many other products and it would not be practicable to prohibit their import.
