Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erection and Reconstruction of Donegal Schools.

asked the Minister for Education if he will indicate in respect of County Donegal (a) the new national schools the erection of which will commerce this year, and (b) the national schools upon which reconstruction will commence this year.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate, for inclusion in the Official Report, a statement containing the information requested by the Deputy and also the names of the schools in County Donegal which are in course of erection or reconstruction.

Following is the statement:—

County Donegal.

(a) Schools on the erection of which it is expected that work will commence during the current financial year: Knockastoler, Massinass, Malin Head, Traintagh, Dunkineely.

(b) Schools on the reconstruction of which it is expected that work will commence during the current financial year: Gortahork, Newtowncunningham, Ballyheerin, Keadue, Cloontiagh.

(c) Schools the erection of which is in progress: Burtonport, Meenaneary, Castlefin Girls', Meenglass, Shrove Tullybeg, Milford, Gleneely, Ramelton, Ballymore.

(b) Schools which are in course of reconstruction: St. Columba's Boys' (Letterkenny), Ballyshannon Convent, Scoil Bhrighde (Boyagh).
