Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erection and Reconstruction of Mayo Schools.

asked the Minister for Education if he will indicate in respect of County Mayo (a) the new national schools the erection of which will commence this year, and (b) the national schools upon which reconstruction will commence this year.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate, for inclusion in the Official Report, a statement containing the information requested by the Deputy, also the names of new national schools which are in course of erection in County Mayo and the name of an existing national school in the county at which a scheme of reconstruction is in progress.

Following is the statement:—

COUNTY MAYO.

(a) New schools, the erection of which is likely to commence during the current financial year—

Shraheen,

Loughanemon.

(b) Existing schools, the reconstruction of which is likely to commence during the current financial year—

Knockloughra,

Caurane,

St. James's, Barnacogue,

Belmullet Infants'.

(c) New schools, the erection of which is in progress—

Kilkelly,

Sheanmore,

Cloghans.

(d) Existing school at which a scheme of reconstruction is in progress—

Ballina Convent.
