Dooagh is included in the Achill regional water supply scheme which will serve lower Achill Island. I understand that the council will shortly be submitting proposals for compulsory acquisition of the land and water rights required for the scheme. The first statutory notice of the proposed land acquisition was published on the 12th instant.
