Vol. 171 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rules of High Court.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware of the hardship caused by the operation of Order LXII r 59 of the Rules of the High Court; and if he will arrange for the limit of £100 imposed thereby to be extended in view of the diminution in the value of money.

As the Deputy is aware, the amendment of the Rules of the High Court is a matter for the Superior Courts Rules Committee. If, however, the Rules Committee submit for my concurrence a rule designed to increase the monetary limit I shall be glad to consider it.

Has the Minister got any representative on the Rules Committee.

I could not say.

Neither could I.

But if they make the recommendation, I shall consider it.
