I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving an estimate of the value of the gross national product at constant 1953 market prices in each of the years 1953 to 1957 and the corresponding index numbers to base 1953=100. The later figures, particularly those for 1957, are subject to revision.
