Vol. 171 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin and Meath Health Districts: Treatment Charges.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state separately for a recent period in respect of the county health districts of Dublin and Meath as regards persons insured under the Social Welfare Acts who applied for and received services under the Health Act,1953, (1) the number of insured persons involved (including dependents) and (2) the number who were charged per day (i) 10/-, (ii) 7/- to 9/11, (iii) 5/- to 6/11, and (iv) less than 5/-.

I understand that the form in which the records are compiled is such that it would not be possible to extract the information requested without a considerable expenditure of time and money and without disruption of the normal work of the health authority. In these circumstances, I regret that I would not feel justified in asking them to extract the information.
