Vol. 171 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Castlebellingham Estate.

59.

asked the Minister for Lands when Castlebellingham estate which was acquired some time ago will be divided among local small-holders.

60.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have completed the scheme for the allotment of the Bellingham estate, Castlebellingham, County Louth; and, if so, when it is proposed to put this scheme into operation.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 59 and 60 together.

The Land Commission recently sold the residence, known as Castle Bellingham, together with an area of 56 acres of accommodation land. Proposals for the disposal of the main portion of the estate have not yet been formulated, but the matter will be put in hands shortly. The claims of all applicants will be fully considered.
