I presume that the Deputy refers both to men employed directly by the Department and to men employed by contractors.
In County Kildare, the Department employed men under Section B of the land project only in 1952 and 1953, as follows: (a) 4-5 men per week for two seperate periods totaling 16 weeks in 1952 and 3-4 men for a continuous period of 16 weeks in 1953;(b) the amount of wages paid was £266 10s. 8d. in 1952 and £248 3s. 6d. in 1953.
