Vol. 172 No. 2

Fisheries Consolidation Bill, 1958—Referred to Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.

The Seanad has passed the following resolution in which the concurrence of Dáil Éireann is desired:—

That it is expedient that the Fisheries (Consolidation) Bill, 1958, be referred to the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bill.

I move:—

That the Dáil concur with the Seanad in its resolution communicated to the Dáil on the 17th day of December, 1958, that it is expedient that the Fisheries (Consolidation) Bill, 1958, be referred to the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.

Question put and agreed to.

Will this come back to the House when the Committee reports or will it go to the Seanad first?

The Deputy is chairman of the Committee and he should be able to tell us.

I think that the Dáil has to concur with the Seanad on this Bill——

What happens when the Committee reports? Does the Bill go through the Dáil first or through the Seanad?

The Seanad.
