Vol. 173 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Reports of Commission on Agricultural Marketing.

37.

asked the Minister for Agriculture how many reports have been furnished by the commission appointed to examine marketing methods of agricultural produce; whether these reports will be published and, if so, when.

The advisory committee on the Marketing of Agricultural Produce has furnished two reports, one on pig meat and the other on eggs. A decision about publication has not yet been taken.

Is it a decision about when they will be published or as to whether they will be published?

It would be a pity now, after providing £250,000 for research into marketing methods, if nobody is ever to see the reports.

I did not say they would not.

It would be like the horse meat exports.

I did not say they would not be published.
