asked the Minister for Social Welfare what arrangements have been made to enable insured contributors to obtain information with regard to sickness, disability and dental benefit, etc.

An insured person may obtain information about benefit at any of the 32 employment exchanges, 91 branch employment offices, 264 local agencies or 208 social welfare officers' stations throughout the country or at the headquarters of the Department in Dublin.

Information about disability and dental benefits is normally obtainable from local agents. In an area where a vacancy for a local agent exists and the area is being administered for the time being by the headquarters of the Department, every insured person is advised by letter that claim forms for disability, marriage, maternity and treatment benefits may be got at his nearest employment exchange, branch employment office or social welfare officer station.

Every person on becoming insured for the first time under the Social Welfare Acts is given a copy of a leaflet listing the benefits administered by the Department, the circumstances in which each benefit is payable and when and where to claim it. Leaflets dealing with each benefit separately are also available free on application.
