Mr. Corish

asked the Minister for Health if he will state (a) the name and location of each mental hospital farm, (b) the number of workers employed on each farm at a recent date, and the basic rate of wages paid in each case, and (c) the total wages paid to the agricultural staff on each farm in a recent year.

There is a farm attached to each district mental hospital, branch mental hospital and auxiliary mental hospital. The farm may consist of one or more parcels of land but is treated as one unit for administration and separate details in regard to the different parcels of land are not kept.

Subject to this consideration the details requested by the Deputy are set out in the following statement:—
