asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of each forestry centre (a) the number of forestry workers employed at a recent date, and (b) the basic rate of wages paid in each centre.

Notes: (i) The basic weekly rates as set out above are those obtaining for time work, i.e., they exclude additional earnings under the Incentive Bonus Scheme which is now in operation at the centres marked*.

(ii) In Counties Dublin and Kildare the present basic rates are lower than the former rates. Any employees who enjoyed the former rates retain them in the form of a special allowance which, when the Incentive Bonus Scheme has been applied at their Forests, guarantee total earnings not lower than the previous rates.
